An album of music and songs that evoke the Regiment's strong
association with its county, and a rare combination of miltary
band and a singer/songwriter. Released in 1990 and voted one
of the best six albums of the year by Gramophone magazine. The
music includes "Folk Song Suite" by Vaughan Williams,
"The Intermezzo From 1st Suite in E flat" by Gustav
Holst, and "Three English Dances" by Roger Quilter.
The songs include the specially commissioned title song "The
Glorious Glosters", "Contrasts" by Ivor Gurney,
